When you purchase products from UMG SHOP, you accept that your purchases are subject to the following terms. We therefore ask you to read the following sections. Please note that we regularly update our terms and conditions. Your purchase is subject to the version of the terms available at the time of purchase.

Prices

All prices are in Danish kroner and include VAT and taxes. We reserve the right to change prices from day to day without prior notice or consent. We reserve the right for pricing errors and sold out/discontinued items.

Payment

UMG Shop accepts payment with:

UMG Shop encrypts all your card information with the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. This means that unauthorized parties cannot read your card number or other information during the transaction with PBS.

Payment will only be withdrawn from your account when the item has been shipped.

For selected pre-orders, the money is withdrawn at the time of order and not at the time of shipping, as is normally the case. This happens if parts of the order, e.g., a digital code, are delivered immediately. This is highlighted during the ordering process.

Delivery

UMG Shop strives to dispatch orders placed before 2 PM on the same day, otherwise they are expected to be sent the next business day. Your item will be delivered 1-2 business days after the order. Special delivery terms apply to certain items. These conditions will be specifically stated prior to purchasing these items.

However, we must point out that holidays, illness, delays, etc. may delay some deliveries slightly.

Items will be delivered to the delivery address provided during the order.

Your items are sent with Post Nord or GLS.

Note: If there is no space at the delivery location, the package will be moved to the nearest pickup point, which you will be notified about. If problems arise, contact customer service.

If your package looks very damaged, we recommend that you refuse delivery. This puts us in a better position regarding compensation and gives us the opportunity to send you a new one more quickly.

We do not replace CD and DVD cases and the like that have been damaged during shipping unless they are special packaging such as digipacks etc. that the customer cannot replace themselves.

Items that have been damaged during transport are the responsibility of GLS or PostNord.

Complaints

A 2-year right of complaint is given in accordance with the Sale of Goods Act. Our right of complaint applies to defects in material and/or manufacturing. You can have the item repaired, exchanged, money back, or a discount on the price, depending on the specific situation. The complaint does not apply to errors or damage caused by incorrect handling of the product/service. You must complain within a "reasonable time" after you have discovered the defect/error. UMG Shop will cover return costs to a reasonable extent. In connection with complaint cases, the customer bears the return costs.

We must particularly draw your attention to the fact that with colored vinyl records, there may be differences in nuance, spots, changes and the like - this can be a normal occurrence in colored vinyl and is not considered a defect in the product.

For products that are surface-treated to give a silver, gold or other metallic look, please note that the surface treatment gradually disappears with washing. It is therefore recommended to follow the washing instructions carefully, and you may benefit from hand-washing the item. It is advisable to turn it inside out and place it in a washing bag for more gentle treatment.

Inexpensive record players may tend to skip when playing records that otherwise have no defects. We therefore always ask customers who experience these types of problems to check their records on an alternative player before we can consider a possible exchange.

Refund

In the case of a refund, please include bank details in the form of account number and registration number so that the agreed amount can be transferred. This information can be provided via email or other electronic form without risk, as it is not sensitive information and will only be used for our fulfillment of the refund.

Right of Withdrawal

A full 14-day right of return is given on items purchased in our webshop.

The period is calculated from the day:

  • You receive the order.
  • You take physical possession of the last item, when it comes to an agreement on several different items, ordered in one order, but delivered individually or in several stages.
  • You take physical possession of the last batch or last part, when it comes to an agreement on delivery of items consisting of several batches/parts.

You must bear the return costs yourself.

Withdrawal must be reported to us no later than 14 days after the purchase, after which you must return the shipment within 14 days. The notification must be given by email to support.dk@umusic.com. In the message, you must clearly indicate that you wish to use your right of withdrawal. If you wish to return the item via our return portal, you must do so within 14 days of purchase. You cannot withdraw by merely refusing to accept the item without simultaneously giving clear notice of this.

The following types of goods are not included in the right of withdrawal:

  • Goods that have been manufactured according to the consumer's specifications or have been given a clearly personal character.
  • Sealed goods which, for reasons of health protection or hygiene, are not suitable for return and where the seal has been broken after delivery.
  • Goods where the seal has been broken.

Consequences of Withdrawal

If you exercise your right of withdrawal in this agreement, we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for additional costs resulting from your own choice of a delivery method other than the cheapest form of standard delivery that we offer), without undue delay and in any case no later than 14 days from the date on which we received notice of your decision to withdraw from this agreement. We will carry out such a refund using the same means of payment as you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed to something else. Under no circumstances will you be charged any fees as a result of the refund.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or you have presented documentation for having returned the goods, whichever is earliest.

You must bear the direct costs in connection with the return of the goods.

You are only liable for any reduction in the value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. This means, for example, that you may try on a sweater but not use it.

We consider used clothing to have a value of DKK 0, as we do not sell used goods. This is also to ensure that you do not receive an item that has been used.

In order for you to enter into an agreement with us and shop on our website, we need the following information about you:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Information about what you have purchased

We process your personal data for the purpose of being able to deliver the item to you, and to be able to process inquiries regarding your purchase. The processing takes place according to the rules in our personal data policy for Universal Music A/S.
